Summer is here!

Of course its been here for a while now, but yesterday, was the first time we went to the pool! It was awesome. With temps reaching 100 yesterday, the cold water, felt the best ever! Little J did not like the pool at all, he cried, but once he got into the pool with me, and I walked around with him. He was more comfortable. We made a little shaded area for him and Elizabeth to sit under. It was so hot, and I was worried about having him out in the heat, but he ate so much ice to cool down with. But while we were there, having a wonderful time, my sister decides to let me know that I am isolating my baby. That he cries too much, and I need to let others babysit him, b/c he is too dependent on his mother. She really knows how to make me feel like a bad mother, or that I do not know how to be a parent. It really bothered me b/c I raised her daughter for her just fine...and we were having so much fun, and then she is making me feel bad. I swear she enjoys it. She was in a really weird mood yesterday, I should have knew she was going to say something. Oh well, I'm getting good at ignoring peoples rude comments or just telling them how I really feel about it. I mean what was the point in saying that stuff. I thought kids are suppose to feel like they can depend on their parents. Also I don't have people beating down my door to babysit like she did. I mean its ok b/c I had this child and I will take care of him b/c I love him,and I love being his mother. I don't know she just made me question a lot of things and one being if I'm a good parent or going to be a good parent. I guess we shall see.

Tasha don't let comments from other people get you down. You are Little J's Mom. He is SUPPOSED to be dependant on you. That is your job as his Mom.

I get the same comments from my Mom. It's frustrating, I understand. You are doing a great job with J. Don't ever doubt yourself.

Tasha...don't let your sister get you down like that! You are a wonderful mom to Little J!! I am sure he is just going through a phase where he is like that...Elizabeth is the same way and I got the same comment from my step-mom the witch. lol

He needs his mama...it is good that he seems dependent on you...if he wasn't then that is when I would worry but you are a wonderful mom, don't let ANYONE try to tell you different! Hugs!!

Oh have I heard those words..."You need to leave him so he's comfortable with others." Well, let me tell you Marley was never left with anyone but Matt until 9 mos. and he was a very accepting to others. Brodie was the same and he was the most attached. Cale hasn't been left yet while he's awake and he's VERY accepting of new people and strangers.

So, what this tells you, its their personality NOT how much you leave them that determines how anxious they are with others. Do what feels right for you!
